Job Description

The Utilities Area Maintenance Lead is responsible for overseeing all aspects of operation and maintenance within the assigned area of responsibility. Their primary goal is to ensure necessary resources are in place to deliver required services effectively.


Key Responsibilities:

* Maintaining relationships across the site among internal teams, clients, engineers, and subcontractors.
* Serving as a key point of contact for issue escalation related to plant maintenance.
* Managing work activities of a multi-skilled team of technicians and OEM suppliers to maximize uptime of Utilities plants.
* Implementing and executing agreed preventative maintenance programs in their area.
* Ensuring maintenance personnel are proficient in maintaining existing and new equipment.
* Operating according to approved maintenance procedures and standards.
* Ensuring all activities are carried out safely and in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements.


Requirements:

* A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering, or Marine Engineering qualifications and background.
* A minimum of 3 years industrial experience in cGMP environments, covering Operations, Engineering, Project, and Validation roles.
* Good working knowledge of preventative maintenance programs for a wide range of plant equipment: Proven capability of working with pumps, HVAC systems, air compressors, steam boilers, and ancillary services.
* Ability to read and interpret mechanical/instrumentation & process drawings.
* Experience in project management roles with extensive knowledge of how equipment design and handover can improve reliability and start-up.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
* A strong background in the Pharmaceutical or Biotech sectors.
* An ability to work independently and as a member of a team in a dynamic environment.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to document operating procedures.
* Computer skills (MS Word, Excel).
