We are seeking a Post-Doctoral Researcher to lead the Politics & Identity strand of our project.
* Gather data on political uses of the Vikings in present-day online spaces and historical contexts.
* Integrate data with other project strands to identify networks of influence and cross-fertilisation of ideas.
* Produce a research-based monograph as part of our series on the Viking legacy.
A focus will be comparing ethnonationalist discourse in Scandinavia with other European contexts. The successful candidate will have experience with ethnographic research and online surveys.
