Responsibilities for General Foreperson
1. Take full ownership of Health & Safety management across the site, ensuring compliance with best practices at all times.
2. Track project milestones, deliver regular progress updates, and address any potential delays proactively.
3. Actively participate in daily whiteboard meetings and contribute to short-term planning.
4. Conduct frequent site inspections to maintain quality standards and rectify issues efficiently.
5. Manage daily labour and materials allocation through up-to-date site records.
6. Lead the coordination of groundwork and civils subcontractors to ensure efficient delivery.
7. Plan and enforce safe, logical logistics pathways for both vehicles and pedestrians.
8. Oversee all stages of the build-from substructure through to final external finishes.
9. Use digital tools to coordinate the flow of labour, plant, and materials in line with programme goals.
10. Drive a site-wide culture of safety and accountability.
11. Align subcontractor outputs with key programme deliverables and handover targets.
12. Collaborate with engineers on waste management compliance and documentation.
13. Lead by example in promoting a customer-focused, high-quality build environment.
Requirements for General Foreperson
14. Trade qualification and extensive hands-on site experience preferred.
15. Proven ability to deliver top-quality projects on time and within scope.
16. Strong communicator, capable of engaging clearly at all levels.
17. Meticulous attention to detail and structured in approach.
18. Demonstrated leadership in managing site teams and workflows.
