We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Senior Journalist to lead the creation of exclusive, long-form journalism for the new Crime World platform. This role is central to the success of our digital expansion and will also support the development of new audio projects, including scripted podcast series and voice-over narration.
Key Responsibilities
* Content Creation: Research, write, and produce compelling long-form investigative articles and features that drive engagement and subscriptions.
* Audio Production Support: Collaborate with the audio team to develop and script original podcast series. Provide voice-over narration where required.
* Editorial Leadership: Contribute to the editorial direction of Crime World, identifying key stories and trends in crime reporting.
* Project Development: Work closely with cross-functional teams to support the rollout of new content formats and digital initiatives.
* Platform Growth: Help shape the content strategy to grow audience reach and brand recognition across digital and audio channels.
Required Experience
* Proven track record in investigative journalism, with a portfolio of long-form content.
* Experience scripting and producing audio content, including podcasts and voice-over work.
* Strong editorial judgement and storytelling ability.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Familiarity with digital publishing platforms and workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in voice-over narration for dramatised content.
* Understanding of crime reporting and legal sensitivities in journalism.
