Job Description
Project Engineers, Commissioning play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of data centers and other critical facilities.
As a Project Engineer, Commissioning, you will be responsible for leading commissioning activities, managing projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results.
Your primary focus will be on Mechanical systems, including cooling/heating systems, plumbing, fire, fuel oil, and Building Management Systems (BMS).
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as a commissioning agent for Mechanical systems, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
* Manage projects, plans, and provide specifications for large facility projects.
* Review design criteria, specifications, drawings, equipment submittals, and other documentation pertinent to commissioning.
* Develop site-specific commission plans and ensure adherence to quality management/QC processes.
* Schedule and lead commissioning meetings, ensuring proper documentation and communication.
* Develop and administer functional tests for various building Mechanical systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent military or industrial training in mechanical/controls engineering, energy services, plant operations, or related field.
Minimum 3+ years of experience in mechanical/controls engineering, energy services, plant operations, or related field.
Previous Data Center/Mission critical experience is highly desirable.
Experience in commissioning or maintaining electrical and mechanical systems, as well as working with general contractors.
Strong knowledge of major regulations, industry codes, and standards, along with basic construction materials, means, and methods.
