Job Title: Interior Design Estimator
Reports to: Managing Director – TFO IRL
Other working relationships: Elliott Group CFO, Design Team TFO, Operations Team TFO, H&S Personnel, IT Department, HR Dept, Clients, and Business development.
Core Responsibilities:
* The person in this role will be responsible for preparing detailed product specifications, and pricing documents for fenders.
* This role would suit someone with experience in the office furniture industry — ideally from a furniture supplier with light fit out background — who understands how to specify systems furniture, soft seating and joinery for modern commercial environments.
* They will work closely with the design team and suppliers to ensure every piece of furniture specified is functional, well-priced, and aligned with client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the team in preparing detailed FF&E specification schedules for tender and project delivery.
* Create accurate pricing documents and quotation packs for furniture install and refurb & furnish projects.
* Liaise directly with leading furniture brands and suppliers to obtain pricing, technical data, and lead times.
* Support product selection and value engineering to ensure specifications meet design intent and budget constraints.
* Maintain and update the company's furniture library with current product data, finishes, and supplier information.
* Coordinate with procurement and project teams to ensure a seamless handover from design to delivery.
* Prepare and format tender documentation and client presentation materials.
* Track design revisions, update specification documents and cost controls as projects progress.
* Attend supplier presentations and trade events to stay informed on new product ranges and trends.
Skills & Qualifications:
* Previous experience working with furniture suppliers or fit-out companies.
* Strong understanding of commercial furniture systems, brands, suppliers and design trends.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with InDesign or AutoCAD an advantage.
* Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
* Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with clients, designers, and suppliers.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tender deadlines.
* Commercial awareness and a practical approach to furniture specification and pricing.
