Job Title: Microbiological Analyst
This role is based in a state-of-the-art pharmaceutical facility located on the west coast of Ireland. As a Microbiological Analyst, you will be responsible for maintaining and aligning with laboratory documentation and computerized systems data integrity requirements.
You will work closely with other team members to ensure compliance with regulations and business processes required to maintain laboratory data integrity. Your key responsibilities will include carrying out environmental and microbiological tests as required, defining and updating procedures for the plant relative to microbiological and environmental testing, and completing validation of equipment and test methods for microbiological tests.
In addition to these duties, you will also be responsible for developing microbiological laboratory procedures, maintaining up-to-date and detailed records of all tests performed, and adhering to and supporting all EHS & E standards, procedures, and policies.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a third-level qualification in microbiology or an equivalent science discipline. You should also have a good knowledge of aseptic processes manipulation together with experience within a GLP/GMP environment and knowledge of current EU/FDA/ICH/HPRA guidelines.
Furthermore, you should have lab experience within industry – bioburden/endotoxin/growth promotion/environmental monitoring – and experience within a sterile cleanroom environment.
