Power Generation Electrical Service Engineer (MV/HV Authorised Person)

Our client, a leading provider of energy-efficient solutions, is seeking an experienced Medium Voltage Electrical Service Engineer to support a key power generation facility in Dublin. This is a critical role focused on the maintenance, repair, and optimisation of medium voltage electrical and control systems.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and troubleshoot MV electrical systems and associated control infrastructure.
Perform authorised isolation and switching activities.
Provide technical support on MV/HV motors, SCADA, and distribution systems.
Supervise third‑party contractors to ensure safe and compliant work.
Participate in the engineer on‑call rota for reactive support.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Qualified Electrician or Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
3‑5+ years' experience working with MV systems or power generation assets.
Strong understanding of electrical schematics, control systems, and rotating equipment.
Proven ability to manage safety compliance and site documentation.
Desirable Experience
Hands‑on with Jenbacher, MTU, CAT, Perkins, MAN, or MWM engines.
Exposure to CHP, diesel standby generators, or marine power systems.
Familiarity with control panels, commissioning work, and three‑phase systems.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of a mission‑critical power generation site. Full OEM and in‑house training is available, with ongoing development opportunities across Ireland.
