Job Description
Our client, a leading biopharmaceutical company based in Cork, Ireland, is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Specialist to support the procurement and planning of raw materials used in both commercial and clinical manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and improve systems and processes for the full purchasing cycle to ensure timely material availability.
* Collaborate with procurement teams and manage supplier performance and relationships to optimize forecasting, purchase orders, and invoicing processes.
* Build effective partnerships with key suppliers to drive strong internal customer service by providing proactive solutions that meet or exceed their expectations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or Engineering from a recognized institution. A minimum 7 years' experience in procurement within a regulated environment with expertise in MRP (Material Requirements Planning) process management. Strong analytical skills combined with excellent communication capabilities are essential for this role.
Work Experience Preferred:
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience working with ERP systems such as SAP including item master data updates. Proven track record of successfully managing cross-functional team projects related to sourcing strategies optimization techniques implementation.
