Flannery's Hotel, Galway are recruiting for a part-time Commis Chef or Chef de Partie.
This position may suit a student studying Culinary Arts in college that is looking for some industry experience to start their career. All candidates must be fluent in english and trained in HACCP.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
* Prepare and ensure that mis-en-place stock levels are as required.
* Prepare and present food to Company standards as instructed by your Manager.
* Ensure correct portion control as instructed by your Manager.
* Operate with a cost effective approach that will not damage the quality of the product provided.
* Maintain a close working relationship with the rest of the Kitchen Team and those in other areas as required in order to provide a smooth and efficient service.
* Assisting with regular stock takes to ensure costs are controlled and that all stocks are accounted for.
* Assist with keeping equipment costs as low as possible and ensuring that all equipment is properly cleaned and maintained as per the Cleaning Schedules.
* Contribute to new menus by suggesting new ideas.
* Assist the kitchen team with food prep and production
