What’s involved:
Define and execute Data Migration Strategy, 90-Day Plan, and readiness gates (Data Ready → Cutover Ready).
Lead mapping, transformation, and data quality framework across client, KYC/AML, account, portfolio, and transaction domains.
Establish automated ETL/ELT pipelines, validation, and reconciliation controls.
Manage mock loads, rehearsed cutovers, and evidence-based assurance.
Drive vendor (WDX) collaboration, issue resolution, and governance reporting.
Embed GDPR, MiFID II, and CBI CPC data obligations (traceability, retention, audit trail).
Transition migration capability and documentation.
What you need:
10–15+ years leading large-scale data migrations in financial services
2+ end-to-end SaaS/Wealth/CRM migrations (preferably to vendor-loader model)
Strong SQL and scripting (Python), ETL/ELT tooling (ADF, SSIS, Talend, Informatica)
Proven mock load and cutover rehearsal delivery with financial reconciliation
Regulatory data migration experience (KYC/AML, suitability, GDPR, MiFID II)
Leadership of small strike teams and vendor coordination
Desirable: CDMP, DCAM, Data Quality, Agile/Scrum certifications
