At laya healthcare, we’re building a truly integrated healthcare ecosystem - connecting our Health & Wellbeing Clinics, provider network, digital-first services and member‑centric care pathways.
We’re now recruiting an Integrated Healthcare Clinical Lead to design, guide and champion how members access care across all touchpoints; making care simpler, smarter and more connected.
This is a high‑impact clinical leadership role for someone who wants to influence population health outcomes, pathway design, clinical governance and care coordination across Ireland’s fastest‑growing health & wellbeing provider.
PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Integrated Healthcare Clinical Lead is responsible for clinical leadership, oversight and service design for integrated healthcare throughout the laya ecosystem.
Responsible for evidence-based clinical pathway design, health system research to promote cost effective integrated models of care. The role ensures that clinical care, delivered through the laya ecosystem and digital channels support the laya Health Services strategy and wider insurance strategy to support affordability within the PHI market.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the design of the Laya Health Services strategy and integrated healthcare.
Design the integrated healthcare framework to ensure seamless integration of services.
Provide medical leadership on service design, innovation and proposition development.
Design care pathways and care coordination programs that support access to care.

Clinical Leadership

Provide medical leadership and oversight across the laya ecosystem supporting integrated models of care.
Lead the design and evolution of integrated models of care.
Act as a clinical advocate for members within the organisation.
Use clinical insight, best practice pathways and health outcomes to promote efficient care, reduce care variation and avoidable hospital admissions.
Embed evidence-based medicine, research and clinical best practice into service design and proposition development.
Encourage and cultivate clinical innovation, a digital first, connected and integrated healthcare ecosystem.
Ensure robust systems are in place for clinical risk identification, escalation, and mitigation.
Support alignment between clinicians and laya’s objectives without compromising on clinical independence.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, accreditation standards, and internal governance policies.
Function as a clinical mentor, role model and resource for the Health Services Department and the wider business.
Foster effective multidisciplinary working across all departments.
Collaborate with Customer Care and the wider laya team to ensure clinical issues are managed appropriately.

EDUCATION

Registered Medical Doctor with Irish Medical Council.
Experience collaborating with multi-professional, multi-disciplinary teams.
Experience facilitating patient pathways from community to acute care.
Strong understanding of healthcare systems, process and care pathways.
Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and maintenance of advanced practice competence.
Specialist registration with the Irish Medial Council, in the division of General Practice.
Minimum 5 years’ relevant clinical experience (inclusive of GP Training).
Experience working and advising a health insurer.
Postgraduate qualification in Leadership, Management, Education, or Clinical Governance.
Training or certification in Quality Improvement, Audit, or Patient Safety.
Experience in clinical education, mentorship, or supervision of medical teams.
Advocate of value based care, experience of developing patient reported outcomes and delivering outcome based clinical practice.
