Primary ResponsibilitiesDevelop a high degree of regional/industry knowledge and expertise and ensure the ongoing quality of the portfolio through review of relevant publications and the assessment of financial reporting packagesPrepare detailed written analysis of current and prospective commercial customer credit requests in a timely manner, concisely identifying relevant credit risks and mitigating factors; deals may be more complex and/or larger clients in nature, including liaising with Fortune 500 clientsApply expert judgment in decisioning deals at delegated approval authorities and/or recommend appropriate deal structures for Senior Management and/or Board-level reviews and approvalsExecute ongoing monitoring of assigned portfolio of accounts, completing annual renewals ahead of expirations and identifying potential problem accounts for enhanced monitoringConsult regularly with internal clients (e.g. Commercial and Collections teams) and external customers (e.g. building relationships with Fortune 500 executives) as necessary in completing credit-related requests, including underwriting, contract documentation and obtaining necessary deal structure requirements when applicableObtain, investigate and analyze credit dataAssist other team members on an as‑needed basis in support of a "one team" approach to portfolio managementAdhere to credit and operational policies and procedures, including completion of routine know-your-customer due diligenceKey InteractionsCommercial team, Credit Team, Finance and Tax, CollectionsQualifications, Education, and ExperienceUndergraduate degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting business; preferred postgraduate qualifications (CFA, CMA, MBA etc.)10+ years of commercial underwriting or lending experience in commercial banking, commercial lending/leasing or financial services industriesStrong analytical and problem‑solving skills with an ability to analyze, interpret, draw conclusions and clearly communicate solutions on a variety of issues with consideration given to the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutionsCapacity to liaise with the C Suite of a Fortune 500 customerProficient in business writingStrong verbal and written interpersonal communication skills with ability to work effectively as a self‑starterProficient with Microsoft Office product suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook) and internet‑based applicationsEqual Employment OpportunityElement and its wholly owned subsidiaries are an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
