* Analysis and preparation of laboratory samples and reagents in accordance with laboratory test procedures.
* The calculation and interpretation of analytical results.
* Ensuring Health and Safety procedures are adhered to.
* Ensuring Quality procedures are adhered to.
* Data entry into LIMS.
* Calibration, equipment and balance checks.
* Housekeeping, ensuring the laboratory work area is clean, tidy and free from rubbish.
* Stock control.
* Manage workload within given remit to meet client requirements
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
* A degree in Analytical Chemistry or Environmental Science and 1-2 years laboratory experience.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE BUT NOT ESSENTIAL:
* Experience using GC-FID or GC-MS systems would be advantageous.
