The post holder will work within multi-disciplined engineering teams to deliver innovative design solutions for new concepts and customisation of existing products. They must ensure timely delivery, meeting cost and quality targets while adhering to strict aerospace regulations and manufacturing suitability.
Liaising with 3rd party vendors is essential in supporting projects. The successful candidate will also support prototyping for new projects, considering implications such as cost, safety, and time constraints.
They will create relevant documentation, like Test Plans and Reports for electrical testing of seats. Supporting customer meetings as required and providing end-to-end support on an electrical basis throughout the lifecycle of projects are key responsibilities.
Additionally, they will assist the Engineering team in achieving key milestone dates and collaborate with internal stakeholders to address build and test issues. This includes researching change management concepts, performing design reviews, trade studies, impact analysis, and implementation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

* Hold a relevant Degree/Apprenticeship (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical engineering or a minimum of 2 years working experience in an engineering environment.
* Previous experience with one of the design software packages such as Auto Cad, Pro E, Solidworks, Catia etc.
* Proficient with MS Office (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interface with Customers, manufacturing, suppliers, and production.
* Results driven with a can-do attitude to ensure solutions.
* Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
