About This Role
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to support our Civils projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and managing purchase orders, including subcontract and materials for Construction, Civils and Engineering goods, works and services.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
* Liaise with site teams to book in deliveries and ensure smooth project execution.
* Source and procure equipment and materials according to project specifications and production requirements.
* Negotiate terms and conditions, pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms with suppliers.
* Analyze data to assess potential suppliers for quality, reliability, and cost effectiveness.
* Resolve issues regarding shortages and quality with suppliers.
* Work closely with Project Managers, Technical and Cost Management teams to achieve project objectives.
* Support data analysis and reporting objectives of the Procurement team.
* Identify and implement ongoing areas of improvement within the procurement process.
The Ideal Candidate
* Must have buying/procurement experience within Civil projects.
