* Product Development
The company is seeking a Senior Electronic Engineer to develop medical devices from concept through to post-production. As a key member of the product development team, you will work on hardware development for current and new products.
Responsibilities include:
* Developing and testing electronic components for medical devices
* Collaborating with the Product Development Team to design and build current and next generation devices
* Providing technical support to Manufacturing to optimize production processes
* Analyzing hardware failures and participating in corrective and preventive actions
A degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering is required. 5+ years' experience in the medical device industry, preferably in product development or manufacturing, is essential. A fundamental electronics knowledge with experience in digital and low-noise analog circuits is also required.
Experience in liaising with PCB fabricators and PCBA vendors, including a basic knowledge and understanding of relevant IPC standards for surface mount technology (SMT), is preferred. Other essential skills include quality management system principles (e.g. ISO 9001 or ISO 13485) and/or FDA design and development processes to 21 CFR part 820.
Desirable skills include experience in design and testing for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and schematic capture and PCB layout.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required, as well as the ability to solve problems ad-hoc and present ideas clearly and effectively to all levels of the company.
