Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Planner and Scheduler to join our team in Tipperary, Ireland.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, executing, and continuously improving the site’s maintenance programme. They will focus on planning, scheduling, and coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure timely, compliant, and efficient work execution across the site.
Responsibilities:
* Assist in the development, implementation, and ongoing operation of the site’s maintenance system.
* Coordinate the work scheduling process with the Maintenance Manager to ensure backlog targets are met.
* Plan PM and CM work orders by visiting job sites, defining scope, preparing task lists, booking or ordering materials, and conducting risk assessments.
* Develop Planned and Predictive Maintenance (PPM) activities, including writing job plans and assigning maintenance frequencies.
* Operate and execute the Planning and Preventative Maintenance (PPM) Change Control System.
* Support breakdown investigations, identify root causes, and help establish appropriate CAPAs.
* Manage the purchasing of spare parts and support inventory control activities.
* Act as gatekeeper for incoming work requests to ensure proper work type classification and maintain CM backlog accuracy.
* Plan, estimate, and assist in coordinating all maintenance and project work associated with site shutdowns.
* Support annual equipment reviews and contribute to periodic Out-of-Trend (OOT) reporting.
* Support the implementation of maintenance best practices, including MPS, OPPS, and standardized 8-Step processes.
* Liaise with Reliability Engineers to support criticality assessments and the development of maintenance strategies for new assets.
* Oversee contractor management, ensuring all required GMP documentation is completed before work begins.
Qualifications & Experience:
The ideal candidate should have a trade qualification and/or third-level qualification in a relevant discipline. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in maintenance within a GMP manufacturing environment is also required. Knowledge and experience working with CMMS systems is essential; SAP and ProCal experience is an advantage.
Additionally, the candidate should have experience managing contractors and external vendors. Familiarity with predictive and condition-monitoring techniques and their applications is also beneficial.
