HR Generalist - (Maternity Leave Cover - 12 Months)This post will be aligned to the HSE pay scale of Clerical Officer Grade IV(Under the Governance of Mercy University Hospital Cork CLG.
)The Mercy University Hospital are currently looking for an HR Generalist to join their dedicated Human Resources team.

This position reports directly to the Senior HR Business Partner.Key ResponsibilitiesThe post holder will be responsible for:Provide guidance to line managers and employees on HR-related queries, ensuring compliance with policies and legal requirements.Assist with various stages of the employee life cycle, as required.Maintain and update HRIS and employee records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.Assist with disciplinary and grievance investigations, ensuring fairness and compliance with company policies.Support the development and review of HR policies to ensure alignment with legal and business requirements.
Continuously improve HR practices.Support staff through organizational changes, ensuring minimal disruption.Manage HR department administration, including documentation, filing, and correspondence, ensuring high standards and accuracy.Maintain accurate HR system updates and generate required reports.Stay informed on relevant HR laws and regulations to ensure compliance in all HR activities.Assist with reporting, monitoring deadlines, and maintaining service levels across HR functions.Essential skills & experience required for this role include2+ Years HR Generalist experiencePreferred Level 7 Degree in professional area i.e.
HR or relevant disciplineWorking knowledge and understanding of employment legislation.Excellent planning, organisational and time management skillsExcellent, proven interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work effectively both within a team and independently.Proactive, Flexible and adaptable to change in a dynamic working environmentFull Job Description available on request.
