Seasonal Job Opportunity: Christmas Event Assistant -Mrs. Claus
Location: Johnstown Castle Estate, Museum & Gardens, Wexford
Contract: Temporary / Seasonal (November - December 2025)
Hours: Part-time, evenings and weekends.
Pay: Minimum Wage
This year at Johnstown Castle Estate, Museum & Gardens, experience the magic of Christmas in a place like no other. Nestled within centuries of history, our fairy-tale castle becomes a place of wonder, with festive magic around every corner. We are now seeking a warm, engaging, and characterful Mrs. Claus to join Santa and help make unforgettable memories for our visitors.
Role & Responsibilities
As Mrs. Claus, you will:
* Greet families with warmth, kindness, and festive cheer
* Support Santa in creating magical interactions with children
* Tell stories, encourage festive fun, and help keep the Christmas spirit alive
* Assist with crowd and queue management when needed
* Stay in character at all times and maintain a high standard of costume presentation
* Provide excellent customer service and ensure every visitor leaves with a smile
About You
Were looking for someone who is:
* Warm, friendly, and confident engaging with children and families.
* Reliable, flexible, and able to bring calm to a busy, festive environment.
* Comfortable performing in character and embracing the magic of the season.
* A strong communicator, with patience and a genuine love for working with people.
* Previous experience in performance, customer service, or events is desirable but not essential.
