Imaging Assistant Role
The ideal candidate will work collaboratively in the Imaging Department to deliver a high-quality service to patients.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Welcome patients and their carers to the imaging service in a professional manner, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment.
* Escort patients and relevant paperwork to the scanning suite, ensuring timely completion of examinations.
* Verify patient labels have been printed for IV gad and Buscopan patients, maintaining accurate records.
* Maintain confidentiality and respect for patients' personal information, adhering to data protection guidelines.
* Assist radiographers during all diagnostic imaging examinations, including patient lifting, moving, and positioning.
* Support patients in completing consent forms for procedures, ensuring informed decision-making.
* Monitor and maintain accurate up-to-date filing systems and records, both paper-based and digital.
* Contribute to the planning and development of the Imaging Service, participating in service improvements in collaboration with radiographers.
