Enso Recruitment are delighted to working alongside a leading provider of business software solutions across the UK and Ireland. Our client specialises in the delivery and support of enterprise-level applications and are strengthening their Belfast team with a 1st Line Support Engineer. Role Overview As a 1st Line Support Engineer, you will be the first point of contact for customers and end-users experiencing technical issues. You will provide essential support to ensure prompt and efficient resolution of software-related incidents and service requests. This role focuses on SAP and OPERA systems, along with general software and IT troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities Respond to customer queries and issues via phone, email, and ticketing system in a professional and timely manner. Accurately log incidents, service requests, and changes in the support platform, ensuring all relevant information is captured. Troubleshoot and resolve first-line issues related to SAP and OPERA. Escalate complex problems to second or third-line support teams as required, ensuring proper documentation and handover. Perform basic administrative tasks within SAP and OPERA environments (e.g., user management, permissions, configuration checks). Support general software applications and IT infrastructure queries as part of a wider support remit. Monitor and manage incident queues, ensuring SLAs and KPIs are met. Produce support documentation and user guides to assist customers and internal teams. Participate in ongoing training and knowledge sharing sessions to maintain and develop technical proficiency. Essential Skills: Experience in a first-line or helpdesk support role in a software or IT environment. Working knowledge of SAP and/or OPERA PMS. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for software and IT issues. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Customer-centric attitude with a professional and patient manner. Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively in a fast-paced support environment. Proficiency in support ticketing tools and Microsoft Office Suite. Qualifications Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Vendor certifications (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft) are a plus.
