Electrical Design Engineer Position

A leading consultancy in Ireland is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join their Building Services team.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of high-profile projects in sectors including healthcare, education, commercial offices, and transport infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electrical services design and a genuine interest in delivering sustainable and high-quality engineering solutions.

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer who can collaborate with clients, project engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to define project requirements and technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design and specification of electrical systems to current regulations and design standards
* Collaborate with clients, project engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to define project requirements and technical solutions
* Develop and agree on design processes and deliverables
* Lead pre-construction activities including services coordination, technical submittals, and subcontractor engagement
* Provide technical support to estimating, procurement, commercial, and on-site project teams
* Assist in construction phase support and site-based coordination as required

Requirements:

* Degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering
* 2 years experience
* Strong technical knowledge in electrical engineering and building services design
* Experience with current design guides, Irish Building Regulations, EN and IEC standards
* Proficiency in design software including Dialux and Amtech
* Experience engaging with clients, vendors, and contractors
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively within multifunctional teams
