Companionship
Providing companionship and conversation.
Assisting with walking and mobilisation.
Preparing meals and clearing up afterwards.
Reminding clients of medication and appointments.
Home Help
Light housekeeping, including washing and ironing laundry.
Accompanying clients to appointments.
Personal Care
Assisting with bathing and showering.
Helping with dressing and grooming.
Supporting personal hygiene, toileting and incontinence care.
Additional Caregiver Responsibilities
Act as a key member of the client's Circle of Care.
Document daily activities and report any significant changes or concerns.
Contribute to a positive living environment that enhances quality of life.
Maintain regular communication with supervisor and office staff.
Use equipment and supplies safely and in accordance with internal policies.
Report hours worked according to office policy.
Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.
Essential Experience, Skills and Qualifications
Treat clients and their property with dignity and respect.
Adapt to a variety of living environments and locations.
Communicate with clients and family members in a friendly and congenial manner.
Maintain confidentiality of client information.
Run errands and provide incidental transportation for clients.
Be consistently motivated and enthusiastic.
Be physically fit to perform manual tasks required by the role.
Work a variety of care visit times, including overnights.
Exhibit excellent time-keeping and attendance.
Desirable Experience, Skills and Qualifications
QQI qualification in care or working towards one.
Full driving licence with access to a vehicle.
Previous experience as a Caregiver.
