Overview
We're working with a leading manufacturing client in County Wicklow who are expanding their engineering function and now seeking a skilled
Maintenance Technician
to join their team.
This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced, high-volume environment, supporting the smooth and reliable running of modern automated production lines.
Duties
Carry out reactive maintenance to minimise downtime and keep production flowing.
Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across plant and equipment.
Ensure full compliance with food safety, quality, and health & safety standards.
Update maintenance records and manage inventory through the site's CMMS (Holisticeh).
Identify opportunities to improve equipment efficiency and reliability.
Diagnose faults, troubleshoot issues, and deliver effective solutions.
Complete work orders to a high standard and support ongoing site improvements.
Exposure to water treatment systems, refrigeration (glycol), steam boilers, and general plant services.
Ability to weld is a strong advantage.
Criteria
NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, National Craft Certificate, or equivalent qualification.
Strong multiskilled engineering background.
Minimum 2 years' post-apprenticeship experience in a high-volume automated environment.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Proactive mindset with a focus on maintenance excellence and continuous improvement.
