OverviewField Service Engineer at Philips. As a Philips Service Engineer you will play a leading role in supporting the technical needs of Philips customers and customer service partners in the Dublin area. You will provide services including corrective & preventative maintenance, commissioning and installation of equipment and software and hardware upgrades to products within the Imaging Systems portfolio both on-site and remotely.Your roleProvide field and remote technical support to customers and colleagues based on training and experience.Maintain proficiency in customer service tools and applications.Collaborate with the remote support team, delivering direct remote assistance to customers.Conduct corrective, preventative, installation, and field change order activities on complex healthcare systems.Diagnose mechanical, hardware, and software failures using established procedures.Determine cost-effective repairs to minimize customer downtime.Manage escalations, keeping stakeholders updated on progress.Maintain knowledge through continual training for regulatory compliance and ensure timely and efficient administration and reporting procedures.Safely handle and store all company property, including tools and spare parts.Be aware of the benefits on offer and discuss them with your recruiter (salary, company car, performance bonus, flexible benefits, Philips University).
Requirements / You’re right for this roleHNC in Electrical Engineering is essential.1–3 years’ experience in electrical engineering; mechanical engineering experience is preferred.XRay experience would be an additional benefit.Solid technical knowledge in engineering fundamentals; ability to understand and drive remote strategy for customer support.Process knowledge across multi-modality and diverse med tech products.Competent in IT/Network diagnosis and remote service; able to adapt to new technologies and digital tools.Customer-centric focus, collaborative and self-motivated working style.Logical problem solver with independent working ability.Important noteDue to the role working in the healthcare environment, a standard DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) / Police certificate / criminal record check may be required for this role.About PhilipsWe are a health technology company.
