firm in the search for a strategic and dynamic
Bid Manager
to join their team in
Dublin, Ireland
. This critical role is centered around leading the "work winning" function, driving strategic thinking, and managing the entire bid lifecycle for complex, high-value engineering, consultancy, and construction services solutions.
This position is ideal for a proven work-winner ready to influence strategy and execution, with a competitive salary ranging from
€100,000 to €120,000
.
Key Responsibilities
* Bid Leadership & Strategy:
Lead and coordinate the "Work winning" team to develop and deliver
top-quality, commercially compelling bids
. Influence the team's approach by developing and driving the
'win-strategy' thinking
across all stages of the bid lifecycle.
* Bid Production Management:
Directly manage the
question and response process
, including allocating questions, chasing responses, writing original content, and meticulously
editing and improving key narratives
. Contribute substantially to the final proposal across written content and presentation.
* Process & Governance:
Introduce and implement all necessary bid
procedures, governance, and processes
. Manage the bidding pipeline to ensure maximum time is available for each bid opportunity.
* Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
Drive, evaluate, and manage input from
subject-matter experts and stakeholders
across all levels and functions. Encourage cross-company collaboration by building strong relationships across regions/sectors.
* Knowledge Management:
Be responsible for establishing and maintaining the firm's repository of best-practice evidence and
knowledge-management data
to continuously improve future bids.
* Research & Review:
Undertake substantial company and industry research to write
authoritative and persuasive narratives
. Arrange and undertake thorough
post-bid reviews
.
* Continuous Improvement:
Contribute to the continuous development of the estimation department, working closely with the Estimation Manager and team.
* Mentorship & Culture:
Provide mentorship and support to junior and mid-career colleagues, promoting positive behaviours within the team.
Candidate Requirements
* Sector Expertise:
An
excellent understanding of the mechanical, process industrial services, and specialist engineering industry
is crucial, with particular experience in the
pharma, biotech, advanced manufacturing, semi-conductors, food and beverage, and data-centre markets
.
* Bid Management Experience:
Strong
bid management experience
with a proven ability to win work in a bidding and estimating environment.
* Strategic & Commercial Acumen:
Experience in developing and implementing
bid-winning strategies
. Possesses an excellent eye for detail with outstanding
commercial skills and acumen
, able to provide valuable input into opportunity qualification, win strategies, and commercial discussions.
* Organizational Skills:
Highly organized, meticulous, and able to work under pressure to hit strict deadlines, possessing a "can-do" attitude.
* Soft Skills:
Comfortable engaging with people at all levels (internal and external clients), able to work effectively with multiple internal stakeholders (including marketing and business development), and prepared to
go the extra mile
to get the job done and won
