We are now looking for a self-driven Field Service Engineer to join our team in Cork; national and occasional international travel will be required.We’re looking for someone with drive, a desire to learn, an outgoing personality, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong organisational skills are essential for managing responsibilities, meeting objectives, and adhering to deadlines.Primary dutiesProvide quality calibrations, routine servicing and commissioning of new projects to all customers in a timely manner.Diagnose and resolve equipment issues efficiently.A “Plan today for tomorrow” attitude for upcoming works, ensuring adequate stock availability.Collaborate with our sales department to promote and quote PST products.Provide service reports to recommend next steps for possible sales opportunities.Demonstrate effective time management and interpersonal skills.Manage field activities and implement engineering designs.Serve as the key liaison to ensure consistent customer satisfaction.Requirements, Skills, and ExperienceTechnical qualifications or equivalent experience in the electrical and instrument fields.Experience with instrumentation equipment, RAMs, HAZOPs, AutoCAD, and CRM systems is desirable.Familiarity with calibration software, e.g., Compucal.Familiarity with service software, e.g., WorkPal.Ability to work independently, learn, adapt, and problem-solve as challenges arise.Methodical approach to product support, including diagnostics, and development and execution of test programs with a basic understanding of test techniques.Empathy and adaptability to different interpersonal styles.Management experience is desirable as we would hope to see you eventually take a supervisory role.Seniority levelAssociateEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionEngineering and ManufacturingIndustries: Engineering Services, Manufacturing, and Commercial and Service Industry Machinery ManufacturingApply now for immediate consideration.Location: Cork, County Cork, Ireland
