Barden is partnering with a global pharmaceutical business to recruit an EHS Manager. This role will be the lead point of contact across the company's two Irish sites and serve as a key business partner to the wider organization. The EHS Manager will ensure compliance with all Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations globally. Reporting directly to the Global Head of EHS in the US, this position offers significant exposure to the broader business.
The role involves maintaining awareness of current regulations, developing SOPs, training employees, and conducting audits and inspections. The EHS Manager will collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Quality Control, and HR to ensure cross-functional compliance and operational safety. Key Responsibilities:
1. Champion Safety: Serve as the expert for all safety-related support and information.
2. Innovative Training: Design and deliver engaging safety training programs.
3. Proactive Risk Management: Lead hazard identification and risk assessments.
4. Dynamic Safety Analyses: Develop and maintain job safety analyses and risk assessments.
5. Thorough Audits & Preparedness: Conduct safety audits and improve emergency preparedness.
6. PPE Expertise: Oversee selection and use of personal protective equipment.
7. Safety Culture Advocate: Promote safety culture through campaigns and leadership.
8. Effective Emergency Drills: Plan and evaluate emergency response drills.
9. EH&S Leadership: Manage EH&S tasks and provide team training.
10. Policy Innovation: Develop and implement EH&S policies and procedures.
11. Incident Analysis: Review incident reports and conduct workplace inspections.
12. HR Collaboration: Work with HR on workers' compensation and return-to-work initiatives.
13. Meticulous Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate EH&S records and reports.
14. Goal Tracking: Monitor and report on safety goals and objectives.
15. Environmental Stewardship: Conduct wastewater reports and chemical audits quarterly.
16. Travel & Influence: Travel as needed to promote safety culture across locations.
17. Continuous Improvement: Identify and lead opportunities for ongoing safety improvements.
Qualifications:
* 5-10 years of EH&S management experience, preferably with multi-site operations.
* Level 7 qualification in workplace safety, industrial engineering, or related field.
* Knowledge of HSA (Ireland) and OSHA (USA) regulations.
* Experience with HSA compliance and EHS risk management.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
* Ability to obtain a CIF safety supervisor certification.
* Lean/Six Sigma experience is a plus.
