We are seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate to join our research team. The successful applicant will contribute to developing advanced surface patterning and coatings, and evaluating their potential as protective barriers against bacterial adhesion and biofilm formation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop novel bioresorbable polymers incorporating non-toxic antimicrobial agents
* Apply chemical techniques to enhance surface biocompatibility and prevent bacterial adhesion
* Assess physical and mechanical properties
* Evaluate antimicrobial efficacy against clinically relevant pathogens
* Perform in vitro and in vivo studies to assess tissue response and biofilm resistance
A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Engineering is required, along with experience in experimental research and excellent proficiency in written and spoken English. A motivation letter, curriculum vitae, and references are required for application. The appointment will be on a temporary basis for a maximum period of 36 months, with an attractive salary package.
