We are seeking a Strategic Procurement Manager to enhance operational efficiency and quality in engineering output. This role will oversee procurement strategies, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-effective acquisition of materials and services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordination of purchasing at company level
* Support the project manager in defining and implementing the divisional purchasing strategy
* Implementation and further development of group-wide and division-wide Material Group Management
* Optimisation of replenishment times and implementation of a multi-supplier strategy
* Ensure the availability of materials
* Optimise stock levels
* Lead on reduction in material costs
* Manage Purchasing Department staff
* Develop purchasing methods and tools
* Take responsibility for purchasing control
* Lead in all purchasing project portfolio
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years' experience in procurement management, sound knowledge of procurement strategies, and be educated to degree level or hold relevant qualifications.
