Job Description
A Business Development Manager is required by CareerWise Recruitment for an industry leading laboratory solutions client for a fulltime role based in Galway.
The Business Development Manager will identify business opportunities, drive growth and maximise cross selling opportunities across all divisions of the business. This individual will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building sustainable client relationships, and developing strategic partnerships that align with our laboratory capabilities.
Role of this position
1. Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads through research, networking, and strategic outreach.
2. Work closely with the Department Director and Marketing team to develop and execute strategies to meet revenue targets.
3. Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring terms and pricing are comprehensive and competitive while aligning with company objectives.
4. Monitor account performance with internal stakeholders and identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell services.
5. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships by understanding their business needs.
6. Act as main commercial contact for clients.
7. Regularly meet with clients to review their accounts and identity further commercial opportunities and to ensure satisfaction with services and products.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
8. Bachelor's degree in Business or Science or relevant experience.
9. Approximately 5 years' experience in a business development role.
10. Previous experience in the laboratory services industry will be highly regarded.
11. Experience with public procurement and tender writing would be advantageous.
