About the RoleThe Head of Marketing & Business Development will lead the firm's strategic growth and brand development initiatives, with a strong focus on engaging and expanding our presence in Chinese-speaking markets and supporting Chinese clients operating in or entering Ireland and the EU. This is a senior leadership role requiring a blend of strategic marketing, commercial acumen, and experience in professional services to bridge business cultures across Europe and Greater China.This first hire for the Irish company will also serve as the primary point of contact for all Dublin office matters and will liaise closely with the team at our London head office.Key ResponsibilitiesMarketing Strategy & Brand LeadershipDevelop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to strengthen the firm's visibility in Ireland, the EU, and Chinese-speaking markets.Oversee brand positioning, digital marketing, content development, and thought leadership campaigns relevant to legal and management consulting services.Manage marketing budgets, campaigns, and performance analytics.Business Strategy & Growth InitiativesDesign and implement business development strategies to acquire new clients and expand service offerings in legal and management consultancy sectors.Identify and convert new commercial opportunities through market research, industry insights, and client needs analysis.Develop high-quality proposals, pitch decks, and tailored service presentations for Chinese-speaking and international clients.Client Relationship ManagementServe as a primary liaison for Chinese-speaking clients, ensuring clear communication and high service standards.Build long-term relationships with corporate clients, investors, SMEs, and government or trade bodies.Coordinate cross-functional teams (legal, consulting, operations) to ensure seamless client onboarding and project delivery.Partnerships & External EngagementEstablish and maintain strategic partnerships with law firms, consulting firms, investment agencies, business associations, and Chinese chambers of commerce in Ireland and Europe.Represent the firm at conferences, trade missions, networking events, and industry forums.Support cross-border collaboration initiatives between Irish and Chinese markets.Monitor competitor activity, trends, and market intelligence to guide senior leadership.Team Leadership & Internal CollaborationLead and mentor the marketing and business development teams to deliver high-impact strategies and measurable outcomes.Align marketing activities with the company's business goals, service lines, and regulatory requirements.Foster cultural awareness and best practices for engaging with Chinese clients and partners.Work closely with legal consultants and operations teams to align business development strategies with the firm's service offerings.Key RequirementsEssentialNative or fluent proficiency in Mandarin Chinese ; strong professional fluency in English .8-10+ years of experience in marketing, business development, consulting, preferably within professional services sector.Strong understanding of Chinese and Irish/EU business environments and cultural dynamics.Proven track record in developing and leading marketing campaigns, client acquisition programmes, strategic partnerships, and revenue growth.Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.Ability to develop and execute strategic business plans.PreferredExisting network within Chinese business communities in Europe or China.MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification.What We OfferCompetitive salary and performance-based bonusesDynamic multicultural environmentProfessional development and leadership growthOption for flexible working arrangements
