Initial Base: Newtownpark Avenue, Blackrock, Co. Dublin
Cluain Mhuire is a national center of innovation in public mental health service provision delivering a community based adult mental health service for the South East Coast of Co. Dublin to a catchment area of some 182,000 people approximately. In addition to general adult mental health services, Cluain Mhuire provides early intervention in psychosis, ADHD, gender and general hospital mental health services.

Contract: Full-Time Locum contract from April 2026 until post is filled on a permanent basis

Role and Team
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Locum General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist with St John of God Community Mental Health Services, Cluain Mhuire Services on a Full-Time basis. The consultant will be part of a community mental health team.
Qualifications
The following professional qualifications and experience apply to this appointment:
Must be on the Specialist Register for General Adult Psychiatry maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland.
Remuneration
Salary Grade: 'Consultant Contract 2023 - Clinical' on the Consolidated HSE Pay Scale
€231,215 - €277,736 per annum pro rata
Initial Location
This role is based at Cluain Mhuire, Newtownpark Avenue, Blackrock and inpatients at St John of God Hospital Stillorgan. You may be required, from time to time, to work at SJOG CS's other places of business or/and the premises of such associated companies or organisations as SJOG CS may require. You will be given as much notice of any such change of place of work as is reasonably practicable.
