Responsibilities:
1. Support the discipline Head of Department and team in executing professional services for our clients on their projects throughout the project-lifecycle; including feasibility studies and concept design through to detailed design and site support during construction.
2. Liaise and coordinate with other departments within the UK and the PM Group network.
3. Develop knowledge base and understanding of other departments as to how we operate as a Group.
4. Attend customer, supplier and stakeholder interface meetings, as and when applicable.
5. Assist with the overall management and delivery of architectural/engineering and construction projects, from bids and tenders through to construction and handover.
6. Take responsibility for certain projects or parts of projects, under the guidance of a Project Manager and Discipline Lead.
7. Ensure all work under your supervision is being carried out in line with PM Group’s standards and procedures, and the client’s requirements.
8. Take a “hands-on” approach to managing your work – developing your technical skills and experience.
9. Actively promote and achieve the very highest standards in health and safety through all stages of the project life-cycle.
10. Conduct other assignments or tasks when required.
Qualifications:
1. Hold a Bachelor Degree or equivalent in related architectural or engineering subject.
2. Ability to organise, plan and manage time effectively within a fast-paced environment.
3. A self-starter who displays a ‘can do’ attitude towards tasks.
4. Good interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work in a team project environment.
5. Effective communication (verbal or written); to interact and communicate with a varied group of colleagues and clients.
6. Commercial awareness or aptitude to develop this.
7. Proficient with using a range of IT or Software systems.
