About the Role
This is a key role within the wedding and events team at The Brehon Hotel, a premium four‑star venue known for delivering high‑quality, experience‑led weddings and events. You will manage a portfolio of weddings and events from enquiry through to delivery, acting as the main point of contact for clients and guiding them through each stage of the planning process.
Our role requires strong organisation, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities at once. You will work closely with all hotel departments to ensure each event is delivered to a high standard.
While weddings have a creative element, this role is not purely styling‑focused. It will suit someone who enjoys structure, planning, and bringing an event together behind the scenes.
We are open to candidates with varying levels of experience, and the role can be shaped accordingly for the right person.
What the Role Involves
Client Experience

Act as the main point of contact for wedding and event clients.
Lead planning meetings and venue show‑rounds.
Guide clients through timelines, logistics, and key decisions.
Build confidence with clients who may be new to event planning.
Manage queries in a professional, timely, and organised manner.

Event Planning & Coordination

Prepare and manage contracts, BEOs, and event documentation.
Coordinate all event details across departments.
Build clear timelines and communicate plans effectively to operations teams.
Liaise with suppliers and manage pre‑event logistics.
Ensure accuracy across all event details.

Event Delivery

Oversee weddings and events on the day.
Act as the central point of coordination between departments and suppliers.
Adapt to changes while maintaining service standards.
Represent the hotel professionally to clients and guests.

Team & Operational Support

Attend internal meetings and contribute to planning discussions.
Support wedding showcases and key promotional events.
Maintain organised systems and up‑to‑date event records.
Work closely with the wider team to ensure smooth event delivery.

Who This Role Suits
This role is best suited to someone who:

Has experience in a hotel, venue, or events environment (4 or 5‑star experience is an advantage).
Has exposure to food & beverage operations and understands service standards.
Is confident working directly with clients and leading conversations.
Is highly organised and comfortable managing multiple tasks.
Enjoys problem‑solving and working in a fast‑paced environment.
Experience in both corporate and wedding events is a strong advantage.

Working Pattern
This is a hospitality‑based role and includes an event day schedule that requires a mix of weekday and weekend work, including some evenings.
