Our client is a well-established and growing business in the supply chain sector, now looking for an experienced Financial Controller to take the lead of the finance function.
This is a hands-on role reporting directly to the Managing Director, where youll play a key part in guiding the companys financial direction, maintaining strong controls, and supporting key business decisions.
Key Responsibilities Take ownership of the finance function, managing reporting, budgeting, and forecasting across the Group.
Prepare monthly management accounts and track key performance indicators.
Work closely with operations and management to help improve performance and efficiency.
Oversee cash flow, working capital, and cost control.
Manage tax, audit, and compliance requirements.
Support, develop, and mentor members of the finance team.
Review and improve financial systems, processes, and controls.
Play an active role in planning and supporting future business growth.
Requirements Qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA or equivalent).
At least 5 years post-qualified experience in industry.
Experience in logistics, manufacturing, or a similar sector would be an advantage.
Proven track record of leading a finance team and working cross-functionally.
Strong analytical and commercial mindset with good attention to detail.
Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
Practical, hands-on approach and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment.
