Purpose of the Role
A senior-level engineering role responsible for leading automation strategy and execution in a manufacturing environment. The position focuses on delivering robust, standardized, and future-ready automation systems aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain the site's Operational Technology (OT) strategy, including digital and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
* Ensure all automation projects align with strategic and operational objectives.
* Oversee third-party vendors and ensure compliance with internal automation standards.
* Manage the lifecycle of OT infrastructure, including system upgrades, replacements, and retirements.
* Maintain availability, compliance, and performance of automation systems.
* Support team development and alignment with best practices across sites.
Required Experience & Skills
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
* 5+ years in automation within a manufacturing or operations environment.
* Experience with Siemens PLCs, SCADA, OSIsoft PI, and related systems.
* Knowledge of GAMP, ISA S88/S95, PackML, and regulatory compliance (21 CFR Part 11, cGMP).
* Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills.
* Experience in software validation and lifecycle management.
