Our client, a well-established organization with global expertise and a strong local presence in a specialized field, is currently seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join their growing team at their facility in Shannon, Co. Clare. This is a key role within the company and is ideal for someone with experience in a fast-paced, multinational environment.
Job Description
The Quality Inspector will maintain quality standards by conducting visual inspections, measurements, testing, and approval of incoming parts, first-off inspections, in-process inspections, and finished product inspections. The role also includes recording quality results and generating various quality reports.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
* Inspect and approve incoming products and materials by checking specifications, conducting visual and dimensional inspections, and rejecting non-conforming materials.
* Inspect and approve in-process, first-off, and last-off production by checking specifications, conducting visual and dimensional inspections, and communicating necessary adjustments to relevant personnel.
* Prepare and populate First Article Inspection Reports.
* Inspect and approve finished products by checking specifications, conducting inspections, returning non-conforming products for rework, and confirming rework completion.
* Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing rework and waste, and entering data into the quality database.
* Ensure proper functioning of measurement equipment by following operating instructions and verifying calibration status.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager or Quality Engineers.
Key Requirements:
* Excellent English language skills, both written and verbal, with strong communication abilities.
* Proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Strong attention to detail and well-developed organizational skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment with minimal supervision.
* Ability to read and understand technical drawings is an advantage.
* Experience in dimensional measurement inspections using both metric and imperial units, and familiarity with tools such as calipers, height gauges, and thread gauges is an advantage.
