Job Description:
This role presents a compelling opportunity for an experienced professional to take on a challenging operational management position. As the Head of Operations, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of a renowned visitor attraction.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in operational health & safety management, with at least 3 years in a managerial role. A diploma or degree in tourism, visitor management, or a related discipline is also required. Additionally, familiarity with workforce management systems and strong problem-solving skills are essential.
A key aspect of this role is managing teams in small to medium-sized enterprises, ensuring that staff are motivated and working effectively to deliver a world-class visitor experience. Strong teamwork and organisational abilities are necessary for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordinating all operational activity at all visitor attraction sites to ensure a world-class visitor experience.
2. Communicating expectations and implementing all Standard Operating Procedures and policies to all staff and managers on site.
3. Ensuring compliance with legislative standards, company policies, procedures, handbooks, and expectations.
4. Approving monthly staff rosters to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
5. Supervising daily rosters to ensure staffing efficiency and accountability.

You will be an experienced professional with a proven track record in operational management. You should have a flexible approach, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent organisational and multi-tasking abilities. You will be able to enforce standards, policies, and procedures effectively, while maintaining a commitment to excellence and innovation. A full clean driving license is required.
