Duties of the Operations Director:
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Operations Managers, supporting career progression and high performance
* Guide retail, hospitality, and food service teams to consistently exceed service expectations
* Strengthen company culture and promote an environment where inclusion and respect are central
* Build long-term relationships with clients and identify opportunities for improvement and growth
* Oversee financial performance across all sites, ensuring budgets, forecasts, and targets are met
* Prepare annual budgets, performance reviews, and operational plans
* Champion continuous improvement, encourage innovation, and challenge outdated processes
* Keep up to date on industry trends, customer preferences, and competitor activity
* Support business development, including tender presentations and client pitches
* Ensure marketing and commercial plans are implemented across all locations
* Work closely with partner businesses to deliver smooth, integrated services where required
Requirements of the Operations Director:
1. Previous experience as an Operations Director or Senior Operations Manager within food service, hospitality, or contract catering
2. Strong financial knowledge with confidence in budgeting, reporting, and commercial planning
3. Excellent leadership, communication, and people-management skills
4. Proven ability to build trust with clients and stakeholders at all levels
5. Skilled in negotiation, influencing, and strategic decision-making
6. Analytical mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and solve operational challenges
