#SETUW This is a confined competition limited to the Education and Training Candidate Sector Pool i.e. eligible administration & library staff within SETU, Technological Universities, Institutes of Technology and Education & Training Boards at specific grades. Job Context The unit is responsible inter alia for the establishment and maintenance of systems, procedures and rules to ensure that timetables are created and maintained in a fair and equitable manner that places the primary focus on the needs of students, and on the quality assurance of curriculum scheduling. In addition, the unit is responsible for cleaning existing data, generating reports, training staff and establishing best practices for data management. Job Overview: The role of the administrator is to provide a lead role in the supervision and administration of a wide range of activities associated with the Unit. The administrator will work closely with Heads of Department, Function and administrators to ensure the effectiveness of the Unit. The post will also require the overseeing and supervision of other staff within the Unit. The administrator will also be required to provide a high level of support to senior staff in the Office of the Vice President of Academic Affairs, including deputising for senior staff when the occasion demands. Other Information: The post holder will require excellent interpersonal and communication skills, an excellent record of self-motivation, time-keeping and flexibility, a high level of computer literacy, a proven track record of organisational abilities and the ability to work on his/her own initiative.
