As Kneat continues to expand, we are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance Department
Position overview
Reporting to our FP&A Manager the Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for the following:
Responsibilities
Work with FP&A manager in the preparation of annual budget, and quarterly forecasts and take ownership for maintaining and keeping the financial model up to date
Participate in regular interaction and communication with commercial, professional services and business teams to ensure that their input is accurately reflected in the financial model (budgets and forecasts); in particular keep revenue forecasts up to date and track progress against monthly and quarterly targets
Preparation of (including detailed analysis to support) review of monthly actuals v budget in support of the monthly reporting process and quarterly public reporting
Co-ordinate preparation of management monthly financial reporting including KPI's and other metrics
Preparation of reports to external stakeholders, as required
Support due diligence exercises and other similar projects
Support preparation of management monthly financial reports
Prepare schedules to support reporting to external finance providers in accordance with rigid deadlines
Identify trends using financial analysis and recommend actions, including potential cost saving opportunities, to the FP&A manager
Support work necessary to refine planning tools (Abacum) to support developing forecasts and targets for metrics
Maintain process documentation for planning and forecasting platform
Understand analyst estimated and how they compare to Kneat's forecast
Benchmark Kneat's SaaS metrics against similar companies
Ensure all budgetary controls are in place and are operating effectively
Maintain briefing information of key historical and forecast information for CFO and CEO for analyst and IR meetings
Support improvement initiatives across the finance department and the business
Coordinate with the CFO and the executive team on long term financial planning
Periodically review alternative budgeting systems and evaluate vs the systems used by Kneat
Maintain commissions software and ensure timely and accurate calculations
Other duties as may be assigned from time to time
Minimum qualifications
Professional accounting qualification e.g. Association of Chartered Accountants (ACA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), or Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) certification
5+ years of PQE, preferably in a financial planning and analysis role
High level of proficiency of financial modelling is essential.
Proficiency with excel other Microsoft Office applications; Power BI experience is an advantage.
High level of attention to detail; ensuring both numerical and written accuracy
Positive self-motivated individual with excellent communication and teamworking skills
Experience with non-excel budget/ planning systems is an advantage
Public company experience is an advantage
Experience with NetSuite is a plus (not a requirement)
