Secure Frameworks provides core security libraries and frameworks that protect Stripe from security incidents that we, or anyone else in the industry, know how to prevent. We target application‑layer protections, abstract security complexity, and deliver out‑of‑the‑box solutions to enable teams to build securely.
Responsibilities
* Design, build, and maintain core product security frameworks, services, and APIs used by all Stripe engineering teams.
* Work with a wide range of systems, processes, and technologies to own and solve problems end‑to‑end.
* Uphold our high engineering standards and bring consistency across codebases and processes.
* Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
* Design and build solutions that advance Stripe’s product security beyond the state of the art.
Minimum Requirements
* Empathy, strong communication skills, and a deep respect for collaboration.
* A learning mindset, regardless of level or experience.
* 3+ years of software engineering experience in a high‑stakes production environment.
* High standards for code quality and a constructive attitude that helps others raise the bar.
* An ability to think creatively and holistically to reduce risk in a complex environment.
* Ability to work across team and ownership boundaries, defining and driving actionable next steps.
Preferred Qualifications
* Security experience is a plus but not a requirement.
In‑Office Expectations
Office‑assigned staff are expected to spend at least 50% of the time in the local office each month. Expectations may vary by location and role.
Pay and Benefits
The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is €83,200 – €124,800. Benefits include equity, company bonus or sales commissions, retirement plans, health benefits, and wellness stipends.
