About The Role
RSM Ireland is seeking a Crypto Risk Consultant to support clients subject to MiCAR and other digital asset regulations. You will help design and assess governance, risk, and compliance frameworks for crypto‑asset service providers, including trading platforms, custodians and token issuers.
Responsibilities
* Support internal audit and risk reviews for crypto firms.
* Assess governance, operational resilience and compliance frameworks.
* Evaluate risk management practices and control environments.
* Assist with MiCAR readiness and regulatory gap analysis.
* Contribute to assurance reports and board‑level insights.
* Stay current on EU crypto regulation, MiCAR, DORA and related standards.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (legal, tech, compliance).
The Person
* 2–5 years’ experience in risk, audit or compliance in crypto, fintech or financial services.
* Understanding of MiCAR, DORA and digital asset risk frameworks.
* Experience with crypto custody, trading or blockchain platforms is a plus.
* Strong analytical and communication skills.
* Professional qualifications (e.g. ACA, CIA, CISA or blockchain certifications) desirable.
