The role is hybrid, involving regular site inspections alongside office-based reporting, coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives.You will work closely with project managers, site supervisors, installers, and clients to ensure all insulation works meet contractual specifications, building regulations, and company quality standards.Key Responsibilities:Site-Based ResponsibilitiesConduct regular site inspections to ensure insulation installations comply with:Project specifications and drawingsBuilding regulations and relevant standardsManufacturer installation guidelinesIdentify defects, non-conformances, and poor workmanship and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptlyCarry out pre-handover inspections and snaggingSupport site teams with technical guidance and best-practice installation methodsLiaise with main contractors, clients, and consultants regarding quality issuesMonitor workmanship consistency across crews and projectsOffice-Based ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS)Prepare and maintain:Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)Quality checklists and site inspection reportsNon-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and corrective action logsReview project documentation to ensure quality requirements are clearly definedAnalyse quality trends, defects, and rework to drive continuous improvementAssist with audits (internal and external) and ensure audit readinessSupport training initiatives to improve installer competency and quality awarenessCompliance & Continuous ImprovementEnsure compliance with:Building regulationsHealth & Safety requirements (in collaboration with H&S personnel)Company quality policies and proceduresRecommend improvements to installation methods, materials, and processesStay up to date with changes in regulations, standards, and insulation productsRequirementsEssential:Proven experience in a quality control or quality management role within constructionStrong knowledge of insulation systems (thermal, acoustic, fire stopping preferred)Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsExperience carrying out site inspections and producing clear quality reportsStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsConfident communicator with site teams and managementFull driving licence (site travel required)Desirable:Experience in subcontracting environmentsKnowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality systemsConstruction-related qualification or trade backgroundExperience dealing with main contractors and compliance auditsPersonal AttributesProactive and hands-on approachAble to balance site presence with administrative dutiesFair, consistent, and firm when enforcing quality standardsOrganised, methodical, and deadline-drivenCommitted to continuous improvement and high standardsWorking ArrangementHybrid role: combination of site visits and office-based workTravel to multiple sites requiredFlexible working approach expected depending on project demandsBenefitsPensionHealth cash planLaptop & mobile phone24 days annual leaveGym membershipMonthly company lunchCareer progressionBike to work schemeRefer a friend scheme
