Senior Practice Accountant Role
Collins McNicholas is seeking a highly experienced Senior Practice Accountant to join our team in Galway city. As a pivotal member of our practice, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing a broad range of accounting and financial services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accounting: Prepare, analyze, and present financial reports for clients. Provide strategic financial advice to support business decision-making. Develop budgeting and forecasting models to aid client financial planning.
* Auditing: Lead and manage audit engagements for a variety of clients. Ensure compliance with auditing standards and regulatory requirements. Identify and address areas of risk and provide recommendations for improvements.
* Insolvency: Manage insolvency cases including members voluntary liquidations, creditors voluntary liquidations, and strike offs. Liaise with creditors, debtors, and legal representatives. Develop and implement strategies for asset recovery and distribution.
* Tax and Tax Compliance: Prepare and review tax returns for individuals and businesses. Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations. Provide tax planning advice and identify opportunities for tax efficiency.
* Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients. Address client queries and provide timely, accurate advice. Conduct client meetings and presentations as needed.
* Team Leadership and Development: Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff. Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
Requirements:
* Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CPA).
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in a practice environment.
* Extensive experience in Accounting, Auditing, Insolvency, Tax, and Tax Compliance.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
