Job Description:
The Health and Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for staff, promoting a positive health and safety culture, and implementing effective risk management strategies. The role involves analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement, presenting findings to management, and leading training events to educate staff on health and safety procedures.
Main Responsibilities:
* Implementing health and safety policies and procedures in line with best practice
* Maintaining knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
* Conducting regular risk assessments and monitoring compliance
* Providing specialist advice and guidance on health and safety matters
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Hold a Qualification Level 7 (or higher) major academic award in Occupational Health and Safety or other relevant area
* A minimum of 2 years experience in a Health and Safety Officer/Advisor role
* Excellent IT skills, ability to analyze and present data, and good communication skills
