About the Role
As our team continues to grow, we are seeking a Director to support our Dublin office, working with a range of domestic and international clients. The role involves input into all aspects of strategic communications, including corporate communications and public affairs. As a Director, you will have exposure to a full range of strategic communications services, including corporate communication strategies, media relations, investor relations, public and regulatory affairs and ESG initiatives. Our team also offers specialised knowledge in crisis management, sustainability and cybersecurity. The role provides an opportunity for travel to other offices within our network.
What You'll Do
Develop and oversee the creation of communications materials, including briefing documents, press releases and position papers
Design and execute integrated corporate communications and media relations programmes, including proactive media engagement and journalist briefings
Analyse and interpret media coverage and sentiment, providing actionable insights and recommendations to clients
Deliver in-depth research and analysis on client-relevant issues, including public policy, regulatory developments, and reputational risk
Build and maintain strong relationships with key media, political, and industry stakeholders
Contribute to business development, including identifying opportunities, shaping proposals, and supporting pitch processes
Lead horizon scanning across Irish and European policy and regulatory landscapes, advising clients on emerging risks and opportunities affecting their business
Develop policy positions and stakeholder engagement strategies, including mapping political landscapes and supporting targeted advocacy and lobbying activity
Support clients in understanding the implications of Ireland's upcoming Presidency of the Council of the European Union, including policy priorities, stakeholder engagement opportunities, and reputational considerations
How You'll Grow
You will grow your skills through day-to-day interaction with your colleagues and your clients, receiving continuous feedback on your work while sharing knowledge and insights. Your direct line manager will support your growth and development and conduct frequent check‑ins and reviews. You will participate in learning and development initiatives covering training on financial metrics, presentation delivery, media understanding and more. We also run a mentoring programme.
What You Will Need To Succeed
We are looking for a proactive, efficient, and energetic colleague with a bachelor's degree who can support busy teams. A high level of flexibility and the ability to build trust within teams and with managers is required.
Basic Qualifications
Strong organisational skills to prioritise competing demands and act proactively
Excellent communication skills in English
Drafting and writing capabilities with exceptional attention to detail
A flexible team player
Ability to exercise discretion when dealing with confidential or sensitive matters
Proficiency at working independently and as part of a busy team
Previous experience of working within a consultancy environment would be beneficial
Competency in using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
Communications, Policy or Business related degree
Extensive experience in a communications or public affairs role (in‑house or consultancy)
