Hughes Farming are currently seeking to recruit an experienced forklift driver to join our team. Reporting to the packing and dispatch coordinators, this role is a key part of our process.Responsibilities:Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following:Loading packing lines before production.Loading lorries when dispatch coordinator is absent.Wrapping, labelling and clearing pallets.Managing materials to ensure continued efficiency on packing lines.Clear waste and manage stock (clear labelling of all materials).Always maintain clear and safe working area around packing lines.Coordinate closely with the packing lines, supervisors and dispatch personnel.Support general working and production tasks during downtime.Assist in stock takes of packaging and raw materials.Ensure a high level of GMP is maintained throughout the pack house.Follow all relevant Cleaning Instructions and abide by a 'Clean As You Go Policy' at all times.Support continuous improvement projects where required in the relevant areas.Adhering to all policies always listed in the staff handbook.To carry out any reasonable management request subject to having the appropriate training and capability.Always wear appropriate PPE.Comply with, and follow, company food safety and quality policies.Maintain proper rotation of products.Transport raw materials/products to production workstationsCarry out daily forklift checks and report and faultsRequirements:The ideal candidate should possess the following:Holds valid forklift licence with experience.Strong attention to detail.Highly motivative with ability to work without supervision.Ability to multi-task.Team-worker with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
